April 5, 2020

Dear Summit Valley Families,

Our State's "Stay Home, Stay Safe" is extended to May 4th at this time. Remember to cover that cough or sneeze, wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and warm water, and maintain Social Distancing (6ft). Stay safe Mustangs!

Our teaching staff continues to work hard to provide learning opportunities during the closure. New learning packets are delivered and last week's packets are picked up each MONDAY via bus routes.

Our support staff is working hard to prepare and deliver breakfast/lunch sacks.  If your child (ren) are 18 or younger and would like meals, please call 935-6362.

**We are now delivering on MONDAYS only (5 breakfast/lunch sack at one time).

We greatly appreciate your support as we work through what is needed for safety for our students, staff, and community.  If any questions arise, please feel free to call 509-935-6362 and we will return your call as soon as possible. Again, thank you for your support!

Sincerely,

Kristina Allen

Superintendent

Dear Summit Valley Families,

As you are aware, the Governor has declared that all public and private schools in our State will be closed as of now until at least April 24th due to the COVID-19 virus.  In addition, we are now in “Stay Home, Stay Safe” for 14 days. We are considered an essential and will continue our limited services.

**The bus will continue to deliver meals M-F and work packet pick-up and delivery on Mondays.**

Our teachers will continue to provide learning opportunities during the closure.  A certificated teacher will be available for any questions you or your child(ren) may have on work packets, etc.  Monday - Friday from 9:00AM-3:00PM.  **At this time we will not be checking out Chromebooks as it is not equitable for all students.  All work can be completed without home internet access.

Parent-Teacher conferences will be rescheduled as phone conferences the first week of April.

Breakfast/lunch sacks will be delivered Monday –Friday via bus stop. If your child (ren) are 18 or younger and would like meals, please call 935-6362.

These are surreal times for us all and we greatly appreciate your support as we work through what is needed for safety for our students, staff, and community.  If any questions arise, please feel free to call 509-935-6362 and we will return your call as soon as possible. Again, thank you for your support!

Remember to cover that cough or sneeze, wash your hands for 20 seconds with soap and warm water, and maintain a 6 foot distance if possible.

Sincerely,

Kristina Allen

Superintendent
